I'm not an expert, but my take is this. Villasenor barely took the first round. He had a takedown, but did essentially nothing with it. Second round, you shined, came out aggressive, controlled the ring, landed good punches and looked great. I don't think anyone is really going to argue much with that. Third round was really tough to judge, and again I am not an expert, but I would, on balance, give it to you. I think that Joey landed more damaging individual punches--the ones he landed seemed like solid connections. However, you landed more punches, and way more kicks, but they did not seem as damaging to him. I think those two aspects score pretty equally. I think the difference was that you were still the aggressor in the third. I think the person who dictates the fight and is on the attack (not just responding) has to be given the edge. I think you looked a little worse for wear at the end, but the guy on offense usually does. I am obviously a little biased, but that is as objective as I could be.
